Why is my donation being made to an existing organization?
The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund is being formed as a separate entity and is currently preparing its application for recognition as a tax-exempt organization. By making your donation to the Clinton Foundation or the Communities Foundation of Texas, you are putting your donation in the hands of a recognized charitable organization eligible to immediately receive tax-deductible contributions. These organizations will transfer the contributed funds to the newly formed Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (but only after the directors or trustees of each foundation are comfortable that the corporation has received recognition of its tax-exempt status, and is ready to operate to achieve the goals described in this website).
-
What organization is the recipient of my online or mailed donation?
Donations made through this website or mailed to the office of President William J. Clinton are made to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund of the William J. Clinton Foundation. One hundred percent of the donations received by the Clinton Foundation go directly to relief efforts. Contributions made to office of President George W. Bush are made to Clinton Bush Haiti Fund of the Communities Foundation of Texas. One hundred percent of the donations received by the Communities Foundation of Texas go directly to relief efforts. Both Foundations are public charities exempt from income tax under section 501(c)3 and eligible to receive tax-deductible, charitable donations.
-
Are contributions to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund tax deductible?
Yes, contributions are being received on behalf of the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund by both the William J. Clinton Foundation and the Communities Foundation of Texas, both 501(c)3 organizations. Donations to these organizations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

-
What organization is the recipient of my mobile donation?
