The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund’s $285,646 grant to for-profit Haitian information technology firm EducaTech used technology to improve the quality of education at INAGHEI, the State University of Haiti’s School of Management.

With the grant, EducaTech developed the university's computer lab, stocked with computers, projectors, and digital boards. The lab connected students with high speed, broadband Internet service donated by NATCOM, a telecom operator in Haiti. Equipment and training from this grant allowed the institute to take advantage of this connectivity.

As part of establishing this lab, EducaTech hosted a training program so students enter the workforce with skills to succeed. The training focused on the use of research databases and business management software, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.

Why We Invested in EducaTech

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund's grant to EducaTech reflects the mission to build Haitian capacity through training and high quality education, here at a key Haitian public institution. It also reflects the Fund's support for Haitian businesses, with this grant helping EducaTech enter the higher education market.
