The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund made a $463K grant to Regis College to educate nursing faculty who serve at Haitian nursing schools around the country. The grant helps provide 24 Haitian educators with a master’s degree in nursing. These nurses are projected to pass that education along to 3,300 students over the period of the grant.
This program will benefit Haiti for years to come by sustaining nursing jobs, raising healthcare standards, and transforming the health sector, all while filling a need for skilled Haitian health workers.
Why We Invested in Regis College
Clinton Bush Haiti Fund's grant to Regis College to provide masters' degrees to nursing educators in Haiti fits with the Fund's mission of promoting jobs and building a strong workforce, while also meeting a critical need for skilled Haitian healthcare workers.
Transforming Lives and Livelihoods
- Enabling an enaugural class of 12 nursing faculty members to complete their masters' degrees in nursing, and welcoming a second class the next year.

- Strengthening Haiti's healthcare infrastructure.
About Regis College and the Regis College Haiti Project
Regis College was founded in 1927 in Weston, Massachusetts. The school established its nursing program in 1983.
The Regis College Haiti Project, or International Nurse Faculty Partnership Initiative (INFPI), began in 2007, and aims to improve access to quality health care in Haiti by advancing nursing education in Haiti. The Haitian Ministry of Health participated in the design of the INFPI and led the selection process for the nursing educators enrolled in the program.
