The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund's $914,000 grant to l'Université Quisqueya enhances the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at its Port-au-Prince campus. The Center provides a range of business development services, including training for local consultants and analysts, assistance for businesses transitioning from the informal to the formal economy, and advanced managerial training. 

The Center offers training and technical for business people of all levels. From aspiring entrepreneurs to senior executives, business leaders now have access to an array of resources. Through classroom workshops and hands-on case studies, the Center is a place for students, entrepreneurs, and public officials to develop their business expertise.

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund's grant to l'Université Quisqueya reflects the Fund's mission to support small and growing businesses, empower individuals to transition from the informal to the formal economy, and enable business owners and public officials to acquire critical management skills that contribute to an improved business environment.

Transforming Lives and Livelihoods

  • Help over 150 businesses transition from the informal to the formal economy.
  • Train 120 business consultants and analysts to develop nearly 2,000 nascent businesses.
  • Train 900 aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Support advanced management training to at least 100 key officials from state and local governments.

About Université Quisqueya

Université Quisqueya is a leading institution of higher education in Port-au-Prince. Founded in 1988, it is dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and economic development. The university offers bachelors and masters degrees in six areas of study: Agriculture and Environment, Management and Economics, Engineering and Architecture, Law and Political Science, Education, and Health Sciences.
