Kids Programs: Universite d’Etat du Haiti (UEH)
-
The remains of the UEH computer lab after the devastation of the earthquake.
When the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund saw what was left of the engineering school in Haiti they stepped in and rebuilt the classrooms so college students and the next generation of engineers could get back to studying.
The Universite d'Etat du Haiti (UEH) is the oldest science and engineering school in Haiti, and one of the oldest in the Caribbean.
Tuition is free, but it is very hard to be accepted. Admission is offered only to the top scorers on admissions tests. Many of the students studying here are from disadvantaged backgrounds and hope to build better lives for themselves and for their country.
