The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund awarded a grant to Architecture for Humanity to establish the Haitian Rebuilding Center in Port-au-Prince, which will serve as a one-stop shop for professional design and construction services. The grant will enable Haitian small and growing businesses to participate in post-earthquake reconstruction and ensure rebuilding incorporates better design and engineering.
The grant will be used to increase the capacity of the Rebuilding Center and expand its reach among Haitians to promote good building practices. This will help smaller Haitian construction firms as they engage in the large-scale reconstruction projects currently underway. These building projects will provide skills training to Haitian professionals, contributing to both short-term and long-term economic growth.

Transforming Lives and Livelihoods
With support from the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, Architecture for Humanity will seek to:
• Put more than 5,000 Haitians back to work.
• Benefit the lives of 30,000 people within three years by providing workforce training, consumer education, professional referrals, and serving as a clearinghouse for reconstruction bids.
• Leave a lasting legacy for economic prosperity by evolving the Rebuilding Center into a local economic development agency after three to five years.
