With support from the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, INDEPCO will rebuild its headquarters and expand its production and training capacity, enabling small-scale garment workshops that were damaged in the earthquake to resume production. This will provide an injection of working capital to the INDEPCO network of 600 ateliers.

To date, INDEPCO has produced 24,437 school uniforms for Haitian schoolchildren. The uniform order engaged approximately 70 ateliers and 600 workers from around Port-au-Prince, including several workers in Jacmel, Gonaive, Petit Goave, Saint Marc, and Leogane. INDEPCO has also completed 80 percent of the construction and repair work to its facility and the bulk of electrical wiring installation for approximately 150 of its sewing machines.

Why We Invested in INDEPCO

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund's grant to INDEPCO reflects our commitment to creating economic opportunity and job growth by restarting, expanding and creating micro- and small-sized businesses.
